OAMARU.

Friday.

James Dunn's house in Dee street was destroyed by fire- Mrs Dunn and two children had a narrow «scape of losing their lives. The building and furniture were insured for £100 in the South British. The fire is supposed to have originated in the kitchen.

The Oamaru and Naseby Bail way Committee have decided to urge upon the Government to extend the Waireka railway as far as the township of Livingstone.
