Wednesday. The Dog Show to-day was a great succeat. There were nearly 500 exhibits, including entries from Otago and Nelson. The great majority of the dogs were rery well bred, many of them being exceed* ingly fine specimens. Three auctioneers' sales of racing stock were held to-day. The attendance was Tery small, and few sales were effected. These were MerriHe to J. Turner, 70 guineas; Standard Bearer to A. H. Rolleston for 120 guineas; York to D. O'Brien for 330 guineas; Atlantic to A. H. Bolleston for 130 guineas; Lichie to Mr Gilligan for 37 guineas; Luna to H. Oram for 240 guineas; Sir Tatton to D. O'Brien for 100 guineas; filly by Traducer, dam Opera, to J. Brandon for 150 guineas; filly by Castaway, dam Moss Rose, to M. Todhunter for 50 guineas; filly by Albany, dam Bed Rose, to H. Redwood for 55 guineas; colt by Castaway, dam Patrician, 3o guineas; Oberdn to Mr Kitchen for 260 guineas; Atlantic to Mr Kitchen for 240 guineas ; Mountain to Mr Kitchen for 180 guineas; The Chief, to Mr Mackey for 100 guineas. Fishhook was passed in at 800 guineas, and Mousetrap at 275 guineas. This day. Settling on the races passed off satisfactority. The Jockey Club paid orer the following amounts:—Redwood, £695: Webb, £247; Mallock, £236; Bay, £137; Markey, £123; O'Brien, £85; Lunn, £20.
