Wednesday. In an appeal castf to-day, Judge Johnson upheld the generally received view that the Tipping Act of George 11. is in force in the colony. This Act precludes recovery for liquor supplied in less quantities than twenty shillings' worth. This day. Bates, Sice and Co., attomies for Perry Davis, have instituted proceedings in the Supreme Court against one Wilkin as manufacturer of painkiller, said to be an imitation of Perry Davit* patent. The other defendants are Wilkins' sub-agents, Hayman and Co., and Lange and Thoneman. An exparte motion was waived to give defendants an opportunity of being heard.
