DBTJNKENMBSS AKD OBSCENITY.
Edward Halfpenny was charged with having been drunk and disorderly in Albert street, Grahamstown, yesterday, and with using obscene language in the same place. The defendant pleaded guilty to the first charge, but said he knew nothing about the second.. Mr Sullen deposed that he saw the j accused in Albert street yesterday. He -was making a great row, shouting and | singing at the top of his voice. He (Mr j BuTlen) cautioned him to be quiet, when the defendant commenced swearing at him, and, using most disgusting and obscene language. Fined 20s and costs, or 48 hours' imprisonment.
MALICIOUS IKJUBT TO PBOFBBTT.
The tame defendant was charged with malicious injury to one night-bucket, the property of H.M. Government, of the value of 10s.
He pleaded guilty. Fined 10s, the value of the bucket, and to undergo 21 days' imprisonment with hard labor.
DRUNKENNESS.
Samuel Dobbs was charged with being drunk and incapable last night. Defendant, who was Tery hard of hear 9 ing, admitted the offence.
Fined 10s and costs, with the usual alternative. Court adjourned.
