OHI2TEHTOI.

(FBOH OUB OWN C0BBB8P0NVBKT.)

Paeboa, This day, noon.

The County Chairman (A. Brodie, Esq ), accompanied by Messrs Fuckcy, Thorp and others, arrired yesterday, and proceeded at once on horseback to Te Aroha. Capt. Fraser, R.M., also arrived, and went out to Waitekauri this morning. After the next sitting of the Court (upon a day io be fixed shortly) the B.M. and Warden will hold Courts regularly on the Ist and 3rd Wednesday of erery month. For the present the Court House, ice, will remain at Mackaytown, but I understand that as soon as certain ar« rangements are completed they will be romored to. Paeroa, which will be de* cidedly more suitable for all parties. Tukukino and the other natires who went from here to attend the great meeting at Hikurttngi returned last evening. They got tired of waiting, and feel greatly disgusted. Takerei te Putm says that the newspaper reports about Te Ngakau (or Tutua) being in favor of the visit are all false. He says that on the former visit Te Ngakau felt pleased with the ideas eaunciated by Sir George Grey and the Hon. John Sheehp.n, but, he has since heard that the latter has been ex* pressing himself freely as being in favor of making roads through the district. Ho docs not 'know whether Sir George Grey coincides with him, but tliiuki it likely, as they are closely connected in their positions. Takerei also considers that the Native Minister's talk at Komata was decidedly objectionable. I, for one, hope that the Hon. John Sheehan will act up to what he then said. We may then look forward to better times.
