TAURANGA.

Friday.

The s.s. Hinemoa, with the Premier and Mr Sheehan, arrived here at seven o'clock this morning, from Coromandel. The party landed at ten o'clock, and were received on the wharf by tbe Cbairman and members of the Town Board. They were escorted up the wharf to a platform, where an address of welcome was read by the Chairman of the Town Board. This was replied to in suitable terms, and the party were driven to the hotel, apd re ceived an ovation from an assemblageof Maoris, a war dance, &c. The Premier received deputations till lunch, and then drove out to the country. This evening tbe Premier addresses a public meeting in the Town-hall. To morrow will be devoted to a Maori reception. He leaves for Gißborne to-morrow evening.
