This day. Bright Smile.—A parcel of specimens yesterday. The Young New- Zealand are getting out daily very rich stone. Koyal Oak. —Upon a visit to the mine I found,gold being obtained from various stopes.. Much interest is felt in the result of the low level of this mine. The Harbor View intersected a lode on No. 5 level.. Great hopes are entertained that the shot of gold originally worked upon will be met with in a few feet further. Waverley.—This mine is likely to turn out one of the best in the- neighborhood. Good,specimen stone is got out daily. A concert at the Upper Township last night was a * great success. The room was crowded. It reflects great credit on Messrs Home arid^Hockliffe who got it up for a benevolent object. Every'praise is due to the singers.
