The fixing of the new turbine and fittings are now so far completed as to permit of a trial start in a few days. The turbine is in position, and at present the men are employed connecting it with the 10-inch pipe, which comes from the main to feed the condenser of the pumping engine. The turbine is the sister of the one at the Herald battery, both being of exactly the same pattern and size, Mr Gr. Black being the designer and Messrs Price Bros, the makers.
