This day.

The Supreme Couvfc sittings opened yesterday before Judge Eichmond. The grand jury found true bills in all the cases. There were three cases tried yesterday, /"chibald McEchern pleaded guilty on two indictments for stealing from his employe?, Stephen Hooper, a lot of gooas. John Hayne was acquitted on a charge of stealing £21 from a dwellling house. He was also tried on a charge of stealing a watch and chain from on board the steamer Fairy. The jury were locked up all night. This mormng they brought in a verdict of " rot guilty." The judge, in in discharging the prisoner, told him he was lucky. The man McEchern was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment with hard labor on each indictment—sentences to be cumulative.
