AUCKLAND.
This day.
James Shearer was charged at the Police Court with stealing a ten pound note from By an, Bell and Co. The charge was withdrawn. Prisoner had confessed his crime.
Manuel Defratez, for illicit distillation, was fined a hundred and twenty pounds, or six months' imprisonment.
The funeral of Pilling will tcke place to-morrow afternoon.
