WAITEKAURI.
A repsrt under date May 28th . has been received from Mr Corbett, Manager of the Waitekauri batterj, which states that at the time of the writing of the -toport, judging from the amalgam on hand, there would be 1500 ounces of gold for the month. It will be seen by referring to another column that even a higher " tip '* than that is given, but whetW it is the greater or the lesser auiounf it will be a
good return, and will enable the directors to pay a dividend of Is 6d or. 2s per share.
