WELCOME.
The following report, bearing data May 28th, has been received from the mine manager: —A connection baa been made to-day between the levels on the No. 2 cross-lode, the drive on. the low; level having intersected the winzo at a distance of 65 feet from the main tunnel. The lode is nine inches in width, but is of rery little value in this locality. The south drive on the No-4 leader it in a total distance of one hundred and thirty-one feet from the main tunnel, and the north drive a length of one hundred and.twenty-three, feet. I think quite sufficient has been done in this quarteri for the present, and consider it will be as well to try some of the leaders on the surface level, and to prospect the leaders that are crossing the main drive. I remain, yours faithfully, Edwin W. LOWB." ■;■-•■■•■•■■
