The Missing Man George Halliwell.
' A native came in from Kerikeri to-day and reported that the unfortunate man George Halliwell, ex-linesman in the Telegraph' Department,"'who has been missing for over a fortnight, had been seen lately wandering about the bush beyond Kerikeri, and that he was suffering from dementia. Halliwell, it appears, was at a Maori Settlement and obtained food and drink. He was ..then under the impression that' -he -' had been about his late occupation and talked wildly of " the line." It is some satisfaction j to learn that the poor fellow is alive, and " as a search party was organised to. go out and bring Him in immediately 'on receipt of the above information, we hope soon to learn that Halliwell is.safely lodged where 4 he. can receive that 1 care /and attention t" which will no doubt restore hiai^to.his.: wonted, health. .' * , ; , ',;"• ':'(>
