This day. Snowden's claim.—Some good stone obtained last night.
Cdromandel Company.—The contractor reports cutting a small leader.
Union Beach.—A parcel of specimens last night. Shareholders in the Union Beach are looking forward with interest to the continuation of manager's renew of Beach mine and mines generally.
A meeting last night held to plan an excursion trip to the Hot Springs.and Kawau on St. Patrick's Day was very successful. The Argyle will be chartered for the purpose.
A deputation appointed by a public meeting to wait on Mr Cadman had an interview last night with him. Mr Cadman promised to give an answer on.the fifteenth inst.
Assessment Court today. The. valuation roll based upon the selling value of property was objected to, another roll will be made out upon annual rental and will only cost the unfortunate ratepayers about for'cy pounds.
