The weather is again magnificent. The cricket match was resumed shortly before 12 o'clock to-day. Armitage and Emmett, the not-outs, appearing at the wickets. After scoring 19 Emmett was ] beautifully caught by Spring behind the! wicket ~ 7.19.149. , Southerton joined j Armitage, who was caught by Paramor j at short 51ip—8.26.159. Pooley supplied i the vacancy, and Southerton was caught by Cargill at p0int—9.4.160. Lillywhite went in last, and did not score, Pooley being easily caught by Mears —10.3.163. Fulton and Mears were the first to represent Otago at the wickets. After scoring 3, the latter was cleaned bowled by Liflywhite—l.3.6. Paramor joined Fulton, and played well for his double figures. After obtaining a single, Rose was caught by Southerton—s.l.44. Sutcliffe was easily bowled—6.l.so. Having smartly scored 7, Allea was caught by Southerton— 7.7.57. Cargill was caught by. Millington was beautifully caught, without scoring, by Ulyett—ll.o.76. Morrison scored 3, and was caught by 5e1by—12.3.79. The captain (Lathbury) put Lilly white's first ball into .Emmett's hands—l3.o.79. After carefully scoring 13, Dixon was given out 1 b w—14.13.79. Rhodes contributed 4, and was stumped by P001ey—15.4.86. Everest was clean bowled first ball by Lilly white —16.0.86. Nicholls played well for his 21. Collinson, who was maimed before he went to the wickets, carrying hi 3 bat, and the innings closing —17.21.106. This made the grand total, 182, leaving the Englishmen 22 to get to win. Immediately after the cricket match yesterday Edward Pooley, the celebrated wicket keeper, and Albert Bramhall, money taker for the All England Eleven, were charged with having at Christchurch maliciously injured the property of Ralph. Donkin above the value of £5,' and contrary to the provisions of the Malicious Injuries to Properties Act. The defendants were remanded to appear at Christchurch on the 12th March current. They are admitted to bail themselves in, £100 and two sureties of £50 each.
