CONCERT THIS EVENING.

A concert will be given at the Academy of Music this evening, consisting of English, Irish, Scottish and local songs. The performers comprise many well known vocalists, and in addition the Misses Dow —two ladies who ..kindly gave their services at the late entertninment of the Sir Walter Scott Lodge. Miss Dow is an accomplished accompanist, and Miss E. Dow is a very pleasing singer who won golden opinions on her first appearance. Mr W. H. Reed will conduct, and also appear in new local songs. The other vocalists are two well known to require recommendation. The programme will be found in our advertising columns. This attempt to produce a high class entertainment is deserving of liberal support. '
