. Mr Hunt is taking down a ton of stone in tho Pearl from tho Eotokohu mine.. They havg prospects of an encouraging nature.
Messrs McLean and Bates from Waitekauri have gone down with two bags of stone, with gold visible.
At Mackaytown the jniners are sanguine of the prospects, at Fern Flat. The locality is the same as I have often reported on previously. One of the prospectors, Mr Hatch, is tho same who with his mates obtained by sluicing tho jample of gold that I sent down to your place for inspection. There are four claims of ten men's ground pegged off. : Full particulars by next opportunity. ;
