BE JOHN FABEELL. This was an application for discharge. ,Mr Tyler for the bankrupt. -«,;*,= The report of the Trustee in/Bankruptcy was read. No creditors had proved. -~- Bankrupt was examined by Mr Tyler. The ,bulk of his liabilities consisted ©f unpaid capital on shares, and most of the companies had been wound up. The companies flourished in the early days, among thorn being the Diggers' Friend, and Colleen Bawn." ' ■

The Court could see nothing to warrant it in withholding the order for discharge, and granted it accordingly. RE JAMES CHAPMAN. Application for final hearing "and discharge. The deficiency was £60 9s 2d. Bankrupt was a gardener ab Parawai. Mr ,l)odd for and examined the bankrupt, and his discharge was granted.

BE DAVID'PHILP. The Trustee applied to the Court for an order upon the furniture of Mr "Philp, as the customs duty .thereon had not been paid, and was charged ' against the estate. Mr Philp admitted that it ought to be paid, but he bad not been able to do so. lie was expecting interest on money from home which would more than pay the debt, and it would not be more than three months before he received it. ; His Honor said Mr Philp was clearly nuentitled to the furniture until the debt was liquidated, and by paying Mr Philp would place himself in' a much better light before his creditors.
