T John Thompson, charged with embezzlement of various sumsof money from ■ Quiclrfwas again (brought lip at the} Police iCourt. The firßt witness was Frank * Quick, who deposed to giving the prisoner ; various sums of money to bank, which he jhad not done. Cobomandel, Thursday. A satisfactory offer has been accepted by the News proprietors from Messrs Horton and Brett, owners of the Mail, for the goodwill of the News. The agreement is just signed and the money paid.
