THAMES HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
A special meeting of the above committee was held in the Salutation Hotel yesterday afternoon, Mr Wm. Kowe in the chair. The object of the meeting was to consider the letter received frcm His Honor the Superintendent. The letter covered reports from Drs. Lee and Hooper upon the general management of the Hospital. In the letter, the Superintendent refused to offer any opinion upon the treatment received by Maurice Power while a patient in the Hospital, because he had received information that Power intended bringing the matter before the Supreme Court. There was some discussion upon the letter, and Mr Mcllhone proposed that the further consideration of the matter should be' postponed until the monthly meeting. Mr Wilkinson proposed, as an amendment, that as the Superintendent had refused to offer an opinion on the subject, the Committee should follow the same course, and allow I the matter to drop. The amendment was carried, which concluded the business.
