The hearing of this case was adjourned by consent to Wednesday, 24th June. HUGH M'ILHONE V PATBICK GBIFFIN. This vts nn action brought by Ihe In* gjjector of Miners' Eights, the defendant occupying land without being the holder of a license. Mr Macdonald for the plaintiff.
Mr'Macdouald's instruction wero not to press for a heavy penalty, the law having being complied since service of summons.
Fined 20s and costs. HUGH MCILHONE V. WM. ANDEBSON.
A similar complaint on the part of the Inspector of Miner's Eights. His Worship said that the native revenue from the field was falling off and that £1 per annuam was not too much to pay for occupancy Fined 20s and costs Court adjourned. .
