In Bankbtotct. be daniel obme. Daniel Orme came up for his final examination and discharge. Mr. Macdonald appeared for the bankrupt ; Mr. Tyler on the part of the opposing'creditors ; and Mr. Oldrey on behalf of the trustees. On the bankrupt being examined it was elicited that he had kept no bosks, other than a day-book. His sales had amounted to, over £700 in sis months. He had taken the estimate of his profits from , the balance left afer a week's trade. The horse he used in trade was the property of Mr McMahon.of the Kuranui Hotel; paid 5s per week for the use of it., The business has been carried on for some months in a brother-in-law's name, because he had given bankrupt's wife ,£2O when he was in difficulties. What rent charges had been incurred had been laid out in the improvement of the premises. Mr. Tyler in addressing the Court, stated that he opposed on the grounds that.the bankrupt had not complied with the clauses in the Bankruptcy Act, inasmuch he had not, within ten clear days, filed his final statement of accounts before his final examination. Certificate suspended for 12 months. The Court adjourned.
