“GREAT SKITERS.”
MR. ARCHER’S VIEW OF COLONIALS. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 12. In his sermon yesterday, the ltev. J. K. Archer, Mayor of Christchurch, said: “Colonials are great skiters, and, in fact, of all skiters I’ve come across, colonials take the cake. Each city and town skites itself, up as being the best. I’m a great believer in Christchurch, of course, especially' since I’ve been May’or. 1 might want your votes next election, perhaps, but the real test of a city is not in parks and streets, but in the conduct of its people.”
