Tlie effect of amalgamation of the deposed Executive and the industrial sections of the Australian Labour Party Conference will be to prevent the Militants, Jed by Mr Beasley and Air Garden, gaining control of the Labour machine, which, it in. contended, would mean imperilling the life, of the Government. If the amalgamation is successful, tho Australian Workers’ Union will exercise a dominating influence on the new Australian Labour Party Executive.
