INVERCARGILL TOURNAMENT. 3y Tcl^invipb——Proas Assoointum. INVERCARGILL, April 5. The Easter tournament of the. Invercargill Golf Club was concluded on the Otatara course to-day. 'flic amateur championship of Southland ■was won by A. 1. -Hunter, of th 6 Otago Club, who defeated C. B. A\ r right, of the St. Clair Club, 1 up, in the final, played over 36 holes.

The Southland junior cup was won bv J E Mntheson (St. Clair), who defeated R. E. Hayward (Cromwell), There were over sixty entries for the tournament, which was a great success.

The Taranaki championship golf tournament was continued on the New Plymouth Club’s links to-day in ideal golfing weather. The semifinals were reached in the Taranaki championship. . To-morrow morning J. Quin (Jintharn). will meet L. Quin (Eltham), and G. M. Chong (New Plymouth) will meet A. S. Hassell (New Plymouth). The final will be played in the afternoon. A four-ball bogey was won by G. Morgan (17). and I. McNeill (12), 7 up. The two-ball bogey was won 'by S. F. Sheriffs (4) 1 up. PLAY AT WELLINGTON. By Teicirnpii—l’ross Association. ..
