. CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Te»eirifiDh--Tress Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 5, The Canterbury tennis championship, ladies’ singles, resulted: —Miss M. E. Spiers beat Miss M. AVake, 6-1, 6-2. N Junior open singles—AV. H. Ogier beat H. Tillman, 6-1, 6-2. Men’s singles handicap (second grade)— G. Brown beat I. M. AVatson, 9-7. Ollivier was beaten by B. B. Loughnan, 6-2, 6-3, in the singles.
