BIBLE CLASS CAMP.
AT ASHBURTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. ASHBURTON, April 3. The Dominion Methodist Young Men’s Bible Class camp, commemorating 21 years of the existence of the movement, is being held on the show grounds, where 180 campers are billeted. The Good Friday service was conducted by Rev. >V. Arthur Hair, of Christchurch.
Elocutionary competitions were held in the afternoon, the New Zealand championships being won by Mr A. T. Gandell (Christchurch), the runner up being Mr , Hurley, (of Wellington.), and class championships by Armitage, Oaridge, and Gandell, of the East Belt, Christchurch. ‘ In the evening a . birthday re-union was held in the Baring Square schoolroom. A long toast list was honoured, and a very spirited meeting resulted. To-day is sports day.-
