The Auslndaskm says:—Mr John Gully, the well-known artist, has just forwarded to Mr Fletcher, of Elizabeth-street, four fresh illustrations of New Zealand scenery. One of 'these represents a mountain track on tho Waitau; another, tho active volcano of 'l'ongariri • a third, Mount Egraont from Omata; and tho fourth, Separation Poiufc, on the Nelson coast, at sunrise Each has the breadth of touch and brilliancy of colour for which this gcnt'eman'a pictures are so famous, and they all prvc to show that, while his facility of exe cution appears to be greater than ever, he does not allow that circumstance to tempt him into carelessness. We aro glad to learn that Mi Gully's water-colour drawings are rising in favour amoug collectors in tho mother country, whither a great many of them have found their way."
