THEATRE ROYAL.
The “Lancashire Lass” was again put on the boards at the Royal last night, and attracted a very large audience again, showing that tbe drama is a very popular one. It will be repeated to-night, and we have no doubt that “ A party by the name of Johnson ” will again receive bis inede of applause. Miss Colville was very good last night, and played Ruth with great spirit and grace. Mr Jones announced that lie has made arrangements for the appearance of Madame Therese and Mons. Schmidt, the great danseusc and pantomimist. who have lately arrived in Auckland from Australia. Tbe reputation of these artistes has preceded them, and they will undoubtedly prove a great attraction, Madame Therese being acknowledged to be a most beautiful dancer. What with this talent, in addition to Miss Colville and Mr Hoskins. Mr Jones’s company will indeed be powerful.
