AMENDED BOUNDARIES OF THE KAUAERANGA AND PARAWAI HIGHWAY DISTRICTS.
The Provincial Government Gazette published on Tuesday contains the followingamended boundaries of the Kauaeranga and Parawai Highway Districts : The Kauaeranga Highway District. Amended boundaries. Bounded towards the north-west by the Karaka Creek, from the Hauraki Gulf to the north-eastern boundary of Shorthand township reserve ; towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of Shortlaud township reserve aforesaid, from the Karaka Creek to the Hape Stream ; towards the south-east by the Hape Stream aforesaid to its confluence with the Kauaeranga River ; towards the south by the Kauaeranga River aforesaid to the Hauraki Gulf ; and towards the south west by the Hauraki Gulf aforesaid to the mouth of the Karaka Creek—the place of commencement. The Parawai Highway District. Amended boundaries. Commencing at the confluence of the Hape Stream with the Kauaeranga River ; thence along the Hape Stream to the northern boundary of the Shortland township reserve ; thence easterly along said northern boundary to the north-eastern boundary of the Native Reserve ; thence along north-eastern boundary of the Native Reserve aforesaid, to the Church Mission land ; thence along the northwestern and north-eastern boundaries of the Church Mission Land aforesaid to the \V aikiekie Creek ; thence southerly down said Creek to the Goldfields boundary line: thence along said Goldfields boundary line to the Kauaeranga River aforesaid, opposite Parawai ; thence southerly and westerly by said Kauaeranga River aforesaid to the mouth of the Hape River—tho place of commencement.
