We have received copies of the G< »«* r> 1 Government Gazelle, January 31 si amt February sth. The first contains t official notification of Mr Thos. Mm I’ lane’s appointment as Curator of Inti si Estates at Auckland. The list of official ministers for 1872, under the Marring Act, is published. A notification of tic sale of town sections at Tauranga, at Auckland, on the lsi ■■ lurch, appears in the Gazelle of Jannai 51st. Also the revenue returns for tin last quarter of 1871. The Gazette, of February sth contains anintimatiou that tin-Governor will not laadvised to exercise his power of dis-alh wance with respect to the following illpassed by the AueklandProvineial Coiun i:: The Highways Act, 1871, Amend" 1 t Act, 1871; the Licensing Act, 1871,Aim im nieut Act, 1871 ; the Registration of Brands Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1871 ; the Kaukapakapa Road Act, 1871 ; the Opaheke Road Act, 1871 ; the Papakura Road Act, IS7I ; the Waitakcrei Road Act, 1871 ; the Harbour Loan Act Repeal Act, 1871 ; the Appropriation Act, 1872; and (lie Common Schools Act, 1869, Amendment Act, 1871.
The following notification also appears in the Gazette :—“ In compliance with the recommendation contained in the report of the Joint Committee on Colonial Industries, 1871, to the effect that a bonus of £2,500 should be offered for the first 100 tons of printing paper produced by machinery, such bonus to be in addition to any that may he offered by any province, it is hereby notified that such reward will he paid on the fulfilment of the following conditions : —The paper to be manufactured in New Zealand, by machinery permanently established and working in the colony. The required quantity to be completed before the 30th June, 1873. The weight of each ream of printing paper to be not less than 30!bs. The reward will be paid on the certificate of an officer to bo appointed by the Government that the above conditions have been complied with.
