ARRIVAL OF THE FERNDALE FROM LIVERPOOL.
The Ferndalc, a nice little barque of over 400 tons register, arrived in ha -hour on Saturday morning fro n Liverpool, after a protracted passage. Cf.ffain Frazer reports leaving Livcipool on too 15th September, and on the 19th took her final departure from Tuskar. On the 23rd, 24th, and 25th of the same month she encountered a feat ”ul gale veering from S.W. to W., with tcirillic squalls, dui'ng which very heavy seas were shipped, and the ship laboured heavily. The N.E. trades were picked up on the 4tli October, and lost on the 14th ; they proved vc.y light. Crossed the Equator on October 2Gth in 25 °W. Took the S.E. trades on the line and lost them again on the 11 tll November. They proved very indifferent, Hie ship never going more than four or five knots. The meridian of the Cape was passed on the 27th November, and in running her eastings down she experienced westeily winds. On the filh December was in sight of tlic Dcseit Island, where sho met with severe weather. Hounded Tasmania on the 31st December. Had fine weather, with W. to S.W. winds across, and made the .land on tho 15th instant. Had light winds down the coast. Spoke the ship Queen Bee on the ’itli October from London to Welling .'on.
