MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS.
Cook-A-Doodle G.M.C.—The first halfyearly meeting of the shareholders of the Cock-a-Doodlo G.M.C. was held at the Company’s office, Owcn-slreel, on the afternoon of Saturday, the 23rd hist. Mr 11. T. Rowe in the chair. The directors’ report, after referring to tlie great amount of dead work which had to he done before the present satisfactory arrangement was made to work the ground from tlie Yankee Doodle low level, stated that 78 ozs. 11 dwt. of gold, realisng £221 Is 1 Id had been taken out of the mine since tho formation of the company and the crushing is still going on. It also referred to the hopeful character of tho future prospects of tlie company. Tlie report was adopted. Tho balance-sheet was also read and adopted. The following gentlemen were elected directors for the ensuing halfyear : —Messrs AY. E. Cobh, J. Barker, C. D. Berry, AA r . Blcncowc, and G. Goodall. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the business of the meeting.
