SUDDEN DEATH.

This morning, at about 8 o’clock, at the residence of Mrs Burr, Albert-street, a man of the name of Berridge was found dead in his bed. He came in last night complaining of being ill, went to rest as usual, and on being called to breakfast his non-appearance caused the mistress to go up to his room, where she found him stiff and cold ; apparently life had lied during the night. He was well known for years as schoolmastor in the Waikato and Parnell. He was a man of good mental qualifications, and the cause of his death is not known. There will be ajjostinortem inquiry to-morrow. —Eveniny Star.
