Pbii GiiEViLi.it & Co.’s (Reuter's Agents) Express. O Auckland, Nov. 24, 8.45 p.m. An inquest was held to-day on ah old man named Samuel Berridge, who died suddenly yesterday. A verdict of “ Death from natural causes ” was returned. Deceased was formerly a schoolmaster at Parnell. It appeared that he was a poor friendless old man, to whom, in all probability death was a relief.

In the case of Moore v. Dodd, in the R.M. Court, there was no appearance of the plaintiff, and judgment was given for defendant and costs, £4 155., including defendant’s expenses from the Thames.
