Christchurch, Nov. 23. A complimentary dinner was given last night to Mr Alfred Cox, who is leaving Christchurch to settle in the Waikato. It was a great success. Naiher, Nov. 22. At the criminal session Turner received a sentence of two years’ imprisonment with hard labor for forgery. Wellington, Nov. 22. ; H.M.S. ‘Blanche’ arrived to-day from the Chatham Islands, in the command of Capt. Challis, of the ‘ Rosario.’
