POLICE COURT.— Yesterday.
Before W. Fraser, Esq., K. 51. Drunkenness. —John Leonard was charged with being drunk the previousday—lie denied the charge, and said he had only had one half-pint all day long—Constable Madill and Sergeant Greer proved that defendant was drunk and incapable of taking care of himself, and was consequently taken into custody—The accused was tined 10s or 24 hours hard labor, and, this being the third offence within a month, an additional sentence of seven days incari ceration was imposed.—Stephen Lett, on bail, alsocharged with beingdrunk,did not appear, and the amount of bis recognisance was ordered to be forfeited, i This concluded the business before the [Court.
