ENGLAND V. SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Adelaide, Nov. 14. The fielding of the local team was brilliant. George Giffen took 3 wickets in 7 overs for 3 runs, while Jarvis at the wickets did not allow a single extra. The South Australians achieved a great performance to-day in beating Stoddart’s Eleven by 6 wickets, after having to face a first innings of 477. Only 1 more wicket fell in making the required runs, Reedman being disposed of for 83. G. Giffen was not out for 37, extras 4; total, 226 for 4 wickets.
