Washington, Nov. 13. Stevedores on strike at New Orleans have destroyed by fire numerous bales of cotton. The Strike Commission recommends the appointment of a permanent body to arbitrate in disputes between employers and employed. Newcastle, Nov. 14. The Cardiff' colliery has resumed work with one-third of the required number of hands. There seems to be a disposition among the Unionists to accept a reduction in the hewing rate. Nov. 14. The Miniate- of Labor W UI shortly deliver addresses in Auckland and °*.xier leading centres, specially directed to labor organisations upon the recent labour legislation, and also that contemplated in the immediate future.
