The following was crowded out of our last issue:— CHEVIOT SURVEY DISTRICT. Sectiou 1, Block 5, 2538 acre, 2s per acre; 3 applications—Janies Anderson. Section 2, Block 8, 1802 acres, 2s 3d per acre—Dougald M’Laren. The following sections remain undisposed of, and may by selected upon application Sectiou 2, Block 11, 1430 acres first class land ; Sectiou 2, Block 7, J7BJ. acres first class j Section Block
8, 2190 acres second class; Section 1, Block 18, 2868 acres second class. Auction Saxe. At two o’clock on Tuesday Mr J, W. A. Marchant, the Commissioner of Crown Lands, submitted to public auction 14,305 acres of first class pastoral laud, and 196 acres of rural land situated on the Cheviot Estate, viz, seven section in the Lowry Peaks Survey District, and two in the Cheviot Survey District. The upset price per acre ranged from £2 5s to £3 ss. There were no bids for any of the lots offered, and they may now be purchased at the upset prices.—Lyttelton Times.
