Valparaiso, May 7. President BalmaceJa refuses the terms proposed by the insurgents. May 8. An attempt was made to assassinate the members of the Chi tan Cabinet with a bomb, bat it did not succeed. Washington, May 7. A rebellion has broken out in Costa Rica, New York, May 8. Information has been received that a a revoln ion has also broken out in San Salvador?, a Cental American republic. The Chilian rebel steamer Itata, which was seized by the United States Governmenl while 'oading arms in San Diego, in Lower California, has sailed away with an American marshal on board. The American marshal who was car ried away from San Diego by the Chilian rvbel steamer Data, was landed on the coast. The United States cruiser Charleston and other cruisers at 8»n Francisco have be?n ordered in pursuit of the steanYr for breach of the neutrality laws, and the admiral at Valparaiso has been instructed to intercept her on her arrival in Chilian waters. It is reported that the Itato is being escorted by the Chilian rebel steamer Esmeralda.
