CHRISTCHURCH STOCK MARKETS.
At the Addington Yards on Wednesday the supplies of all kinds was small.
Fat Cattle—A smaller entry than usual; values underwent little improvement. Bullocks sold at from £5 2s Gd to £G 10s ; heifers and fat cows at from £3 5s to £4 17s 6d, being at from 14s 6d to 16s 6d per 1001 b, according to quality. Store Cattle—A small line of two-and-a-half-year-old steers sold at £3 2s, three-year-old heifers £3 7s 6d. Dairy Cattle—A good enquiry was shown, values ranging at from £5 to £7 10s, second rate sorts £3 5s to £4 10s.
Fat Calves—Very prime, 20s to 3Gs; medium, 8s 6d to 12s 6d. Fat Sheep—A small entry; quality varied, values slightly improved. Very prime crossbred'wethers sold at from 10s 9d to 14s 6d, lighter weights 8s 3d to 10s, ewes at from 7s 3d to lis, ewes at from 7s 3d to lis, merino ■wethers at from 4s 3d to 8s Id, being at from to 2d per lb as per quality. The N.Z.L. and M. A. Co. sold for A. M. Clark, 29 crossbred wethers at 10s 9d, 31 crossbred ewes at from 9s 6d, and GO do at 8s lOd; for a client, 60 merino ewes at 3s Gd.
Store Sheep—Mixed crossbreds sold at from 7s 3d to 8u lid; crossbred ewes, 5s Gd to 8s; merino ewes, 2s 6d to 3s 9d.
Fat Lambs—Prime lambs sold at from 6s 8d to 9s 3d, and in one case as high as lis 9d was paid. Pigs—A fairly heavy entry, and the usual good inquiry. Porkers sold at from 23s to 345, stores 8s to 235.
