THE NEW ZEALAND JUBILEE EXHIBITION.
Dunedin, March. Save occasional showers the weather is very favorable, and the day is being kept as a close holiday, The city is mfctc. A procession comprising the Trade and Friendly Societies, Local Bodies, and Volunteers formed in the Triangle, and after parading Princes street from the Octagon marched to tho Exhibition site, where the foundation stone was laid with Masonic rites. The only speeches delivered were by the President (Mr Roberts) and His Excellency the Governor, but wither rose to the level of tho occasion. The .Exhibition Commissioners presented His Excellency with a mallet of New Zealand woods, suitably inscribed. The at reels were lined with people. Everything passed off satisfactorily.
