London, January 31. On reaching Clonmel gaol, Mr W. O’Brien declined to remove his ordinary clothes and wear the prison dress, He was then forcibly stripped, and shaved, Father McFadden, who was summoned under the Crimes Act and failed to appear at Court, has not yet been arrested, February 1, Mr O’Brien made a desperate resistance to the removal of his clothes, which wore torn to shreds. In his straggles Mr O’Brien became very exhausted and fainted, Mr Thomas Condon and Mr John O’Connor, members for Tipperary East and South respectively, have been sentenced to font months’ imprisonment each for offences against the Crimes Act. February 2. Mr D. Sheehy, M.P, for Galway South, who was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for, inciting persons to refuse to pay rent, and who appealed against the sentence, has bad an additional four months added to tbo term. Mr W. O'Brien, who refused to wear prison clothes after his own clothes were stripped from him, lay naked for several hours in his cell, and is now reported to be in a critical condition. The Rev. Mr Morriman, priest at Ballyneety, County Limerick, has been sentenced to five weeks’ imprisonment for offences against tbe Crimes Act.
