With very few exceptions milJer.i are not operating, having yei oomiderable stocks, but shippers are operating to some extent for prims parcels. Medium milling is not muoh tought after. Fowls' wheat is in st'ong demand. Primo milling, 3s 10d to 4s (f.o.b) ; medium milling, 3i 6d to 33 9d j fowls' wheat, 3s to 2s 5d for good whole wheifc; 2s 6d to 2a for inferior. Oats—Prioes are advanoing, as it if now certain that supplies to oome in from the country will be very largely below last year's figures. Milling sorts are eapeoially short. Quotations are : Piime milling, up to 2s 7d ; medium, 2j 5d to 2s 6d j inferior and mußty, 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Barley—Very little business transacting, and prioes nominal. M'ltittg, 3s 8d to 4Hiij milling, 3s 25 to 3s 8d ; fdod sorts, 2a 8d to 3j. Potatoes—Oiffiarn best very aoaroe, £6 eould be got; Auckland new round, £9, Piga—Well fed up to 1801 b, 4d to 4*l Hams and Baoon : Hams, 8d; rolls and flitches, 6Jd. Chaff—Heavy oaten, well out, soare at £4 Pure orushed Lineeed for rearing of oalves, feeding of oattle, horses, etc, 20i per owfc. Straw: Oaten and wheaten, 400. Hay : Oaten, 60s; clover and ryegrass, 60s. Butter: Best salt, nominal, 7d to 7Ji. Eggs: Plentiful. Cheese: Best Akaroa (in tme). 6id ; farmers' lots, 4d to 4Jd. Ryegrass, 2a to 3s; cocksfoot, 3d to 41, Clovers have advanced in prioes fully 50 per cent.

DUNEDIN STOCK MARKET. At the Burmide Yards on Wednesday tho following business was transacted : Ontfcle—l72 head were yarded. There w«b a fall of fully 20a per head below ruling rates of last sale. Best bullooks brought from £7 7s 6d to £1017» 6d } light and medium, from £5 10s to £7; cows in proportion.— Measrs Wright, ScephenHon, and 00. sold for the trusteed of the Orari estate, 6 primo bullocks at from £8 17s 6d to £3 ss; on p.coourit Mr James Guild (Trevenna), 6 prime ctecrsat from £7 17s 6d to £6 10 .—Messrs Donald Reid and 00. sold for Mr James Guild (Treyanna), 6 bullooks at £7 12s 6d. Fat Sheep—lßl7 penned, of whioh about 160 were merinos. Prices showed a reduction cf fully Is to 1? 61 per head below last week's sales. Prime ororsbreds sold at from ISs to 16s 3d; half breds, 17s; and meiinos (shorn) from 9i 3d tolo'9d.

Fat Limb*—2ss were penned, consisting ohiefly of good quality. Prices showed a slight rise from last sales, ranging from 6i 9d to 10s Bd.

Pigs—l3s penned, ohiely stores, only a few porkers, whioh sold as well as last sales.
