A revolution broke not. at Morocco to«day. The populace attacked and looted the houses of European residents, and then made their way to the palace of ‘he Sultan, where they iffeoted an en'rance, and a desperate hand-to-hand encounter between the body guard of the Sultan and the rat b ensued. Ihe Sul’nn, MuWy-tlassan, fl-d from the palace whilst the affray was at its height, »nd order was not r 8 ured un il the arrival of the Imperial troop--, who dmvn 'lie rcb-s back to town. It is beliv.d that S'veral of tbe Europeans were kil ed in the earlier stages of tl e < inbreak, Upon tlie news reaching this place, foreign war ships lauded armed parlies h r« to protect Europeans and toquell any disturbance that might arise.
