Great Britain agrees not to impose differential do ties in favor of the sugar imported from the colonies. The sugar bounties agreement will come into opera* tion in September, 1891, when raw and reined sugar, molasses, and glucose, from the bounty countries, will be excluded by the signatory powers, Any of the Powers signing the agreement will be allowed to withdraw, on givirig twelve months’ notice of the intended secession, and it is intended to appoint an international committee to see that the terms of the treaty are executed bj all, The agreement will be ratified in August, 1890. The Austrian Government have signed the agreement subject to the whole of the important producing countries adhering to the terms. Denmark and Sweden, are lot bound to exclude bounty sugar. September 1. *

The British and Colonial Anti-Bounty Society cordially approves of the agreement arriysd at by the Sugar Boauty Convention, but regrets the delay in bringing the treaty into operation.
