AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.
Melbourne, Nov. 16. Messrs Goldsboroagh and Co., Limited, held their usual sale to-day. Prices were fully equal to the last. The attendance was large, and competition spirited, the demand for wool becoming more general in character. Superior greasy merino brought as modi as ll|d ; good crossbred, wool, 12|d ; pieces B£d ; and scoured, 16|d. Six thousand bales have been sold during the past week, Nov. 17. The usual weekly wool sales of the Njw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), took p'acs in their rooms to-day. 6175 bales were submitted to auction, of which 5025 found purchassrs at satisfactory prices, The market is unchanged except for superior light-conditioned merino wools, which are very firm at a slight improvement on late rates, Greasy merino realised up to lid, lambewool, lO^d; crossbred, lOd ; scoured, washed wool I4d per lb.
