A long delay took place at the post in consequence of Gipsy King refusing to join his horses, but eventually the flag dropped to a beautiful atart. The colors of Beresford and Cruchfield were the first to show iu fron*, immediately followed by Regina and St. Clair, while Gipsy King and Moana were leading the rest, of wkich Torrent was absolutely last. There was no material change at they raced post the stand and round the turn at Cults', but approaching Ford's Moana and Nelson commenced to go up, and Regina lest her position a couple of furlongs further on. Crtiohfield was still leading, with Moana, Beresford, and Nelson following in that order, and Gipsy King coming next. Passing the kennels Locbie' went up to the leaders, but Cruchfield was the first ioto the straight, followed by Boresford, Moana, Gipsy King, Nelson, und Lochiel in the order named. At the distance post Cruchfield and Moana give way to Lochiel who, disposing of Nelson in half-a-dozen strides, caught Beresford and Gipsy King at the top of the rails, and, finiahing determinedly, won all out by three-quarters of a length ; a length separating Gipsy King and Beresford ; Cruchfield fourth, NeUon fifth, Moana sixth, St. Clair seventh, and the others, of which Artillery was last, following in straggling order.
