The following is the report for the week ending Wednesday Wheat—Thera has been no improvement in the demand this week, and the business transacted has been limited. There are no stocks to speak of in agents’ hands, but as millers are able to dra\» their small requirements j from the North, there is very little chance, unless a considerable rise take place in the English market, of prices hardening here. Best milling velvet and tuscan, 3s 6d to 3a 9d ; red straw, if good, is worth a shade more ; inferior and medium, 3s to 3s 4d (ex store, sack* weighed in). Oats —Very little business has been transacted during the past week, mainly owing to the want of suitable freight?, also due to the fact that storks are now so much reduced and so very few coming forward; that holders of any good lines have been demanding higher prices, - Last week’s value* continue tirha : —For prime milling, Is 9d co Is 9£cl ; short bright feed, ]e 8d to la 9d ; medium, Is to 1< 8 inferior are hard to place at 1h 31 to la OfT (ex store, sacks weighed in). Sheepskins—On Monday country dry crossbreds, low to medium, brought Is to 3s 4d ; do do merino, la 2d to 8- 2ii ; diy to 9d ; butchers’g cen crossbreds, 4s to 5s 4d j do do {period, 3a 6 i to 4- Od ; lambdiins, 6d to 6d. Hides—'The market ia flat, and there are no indications of an immediate improvement. Infen’or and bulls’, ]|l to 2d ; light, 2|d to 2|d ; medium, to 3|J ; heavy, 3f J to 3jd per lb.

Tallow —The market continues firm. There is some inquiry for shipment, but stocks hero at present are very low. Inferior and mixed, 10s to 12s ; medium to good, 13s to 15s ; best mutton 17s to 18s ; rough fat—inferior, 5s to 7a ; medium to good, 8s to 9« ? best, 10s to lls.
